Many projects bring together a diverse crowd. While “the more, the merrier”, this can bring about complexity, tensions, and missed opportunities. The objective of this analysis is to identify the possible stakeholders, their different visions, needs and contributions, as well as possible conflicts. It usually takes place in five steps:

  1. Defining the selection criteria

  2. Identification and classification of stakeholders

  3. Interaction mapping

  4. Power- interest grid mapping

  5. Scenario analysis, prioritization and planning.
